Fields of Tomorrow – Leaving the Dust Behind

Fields of Tomorrow – Leaving the Dust Behind

There’s a point in life when you stop glancing over your shoulder.
You feel it in your chest — the shift from carrying yesterday to chasing tomorrow. The past no longer pulls at you. Instead, it fades into the background, replaced by the bright pull of what’s ahead.

That feeling is what inspired Fields of Tomorrow.

The piece began in the rolling hills and open skies of Alton, Utah — a place where time seems to slow, but dreams still move fast. The scene in my mind wasn’t about the dust or the trail behind. It was about the green pastures in the distance, the wide-open space where possibility lives.

You don’t need to own a horse to understand the energy of forward motion. Fields of Tomorrow is about leaning into life — running with purpose, trusting the path ahead, and embracing the kind of freedom that comes when you stop looking back.

It’s about knowing you’ve already faced challenges, and that you have what it takes to keep moving toward something better.

Created with a mix of acrylic, watercolor, and pencil, this piece is built in layers — just like the experiences that shape us. Soft washes of color meet sharper, detailed lines, echoing the way dreams and reality work together to pull us forward.
